Colton Harris-Moore, true to his nickname, the "Barefoot Bandit," was barefoot when he stepped off the plane in the Nassau, Bahamas after being arrested. (see video below)

The teenager had very short hair, stood well over 6 feet tall and was wearing camouflage cargo pants and short-sleeved shirt, a bulletproof vest and handcuffs. He ignored reporters as they shouted questions at him. He was escorted by six police cars and SUV's and taken to the Central Detective Unit to be processed.

A undisclosed source said the police pursued him in a high speed chase and then captured Colton by shooting the engine on the boat that he was using to escape arrest.

Island police realized that Colton was in the area after he allegedly crash landed a plane.  Later he was seen swimming in an inlet near the ferry landing and hiding in the woods.  He was also seen at a bar in Governor's Harbour where he bought a girl a drink.  Others say they saw him driving a rental car.

According to the AP, three ignition systems on three different boats had been damaged and a bar at the ferry landing had been burglarized by someone cutting a screen to break in and dismantling a security light. The TV remote controls had been moved, too.

"He was watching television. He was just chilling," said Denaldo Bain, the manager of Coakley's International Sporting Lounge.
