Local police are seeking information leading to the arrest of a possible arsonist in Canyon County. In a six month period, there have been over a dozen suspicious fires. The fires have ranged from small grass fires to the complete destruction of abandon homes. The number of fires within the same area and within such a short time frame has authorities concerned that the individual responsible may try to escalate to set fire to something larger, such as an occupied residence, and someone could be injured. Canyon County Fire Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual responsible for setting these fires. Any information should be reported to Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS. Information can be left anonymously.
