Police seek man attempting to redeem stolen lottery tickets (Photos)

The Jackson Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a man who tried to redeem stolen tickets from a 2012 robbery, according to a news release from the Jackson Police Department.

Jackson police released the images of the suspect Thursday afternoon.

The suspect, who is described as a black male, was caught on video surveillance cameras as he entered The Old Medina Market, located at 2800 Old Medina Road, on Jan 4. The suspect gave the store clerk winning lottery tickets, which were identified as having been stolen. The release said the tickets were stolen during a robbery that occurred on Nov. 19, 2012 at the Royal Quick Stop, located at 1647 North Royal Street.

Jackson police are asking that if anyone has information as to the identity of the suspect seen in the video images to contact the Jackson Police Department at 731-425-8400 or call in an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS (8477).
