Suffolk County homicide detectives are turning to the public for help in uncovering information that may lead them to learn who shot a man to death in Bay Shore, according to a Dec. 6 crime alert.

Police released a Crime Stoppers advisory on Friday in hopes new attention may provide assistance in identifying and locating “the person or persons responsible” for the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Naim Isiah Al-Hakeem.

Detectives said the Bay Shore man had been shot last month while riding his bicycle home after working the overnight shift in nearby Edgewood.

His lifeless body was discovered on Manatuck Boulevard near Cedar Drive at 5:35 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is now offering a cash reward up to $5,000 for any information that leads to an arrest in the case.

Anyone with information on the fatal shooting is asked to call Homicide Squad detectives at 631-852-6392. Police also accept tips anonymously through the Crime Stoppers tipline at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
