A man was shot in the head after someone fired into his home Wednesday afternoon near Snellville.
Police on Thursday said they believe the shooter is 20-year-old Brandon Drummond and are searching for him. They are also investigating whether the shooting is gang related.
The shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. at 4491 Raptor Place, according to Gwinnett County police.
The victim, who has not been identified, called to report he had been shot in the head, police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said.
By the time officers arrived, the suspect had fled the scene.
“Detectives determined that the suspect fired shots from outside into the front of the house,” Cpl. Smith said. “One of those shots struck the victim who was inside the house at the time.”
The victim was transported to the hospital with an injury that police believe is not life-threatening.
Anyone with information on Mr. Drummond’s whereabouts is asked to call detectives at (770) 513-5300.
