A man was shot multiple times, but managed to go get help Wednesday afternoon at a cell phone store in Columbia. And police are searching for the man who tried to kill him.
They have identified the suspect as Mr. Mark Reese and are warning the public that he should be considered armed and dangerous, according to Columbia police.
Police have issued warrants, charging the 30-year-old with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, police spokeswoman Ms. Jeniffer Timmons said.
The shooting incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Wednesday in the 4600 block of Monticello Road.
Investigators said Mr. Reese and the victim allegedly got into an argument that escalated into gunfire.
The unidentified victim was shot several times, Ms. Timmons said.
Still, he managed to go to a local cellular store where someone called 911, Ms. Timmons said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in serious condition.
Police said Mr. Reese is known to frequent Lorick Circle and Pelican Drive.
