Police search for murder suspect after man found with gunshot wound to the head

A 34-year-old man was found shot to death early Thursday morning in southwest Atlanta. And police are trying to determine the circumstance that led to his murder.

They are also trying to determine who killed him and why.

At 4 a.m., officers responded to the Hidden Village apartment at 3041 Landrum Drive after getting a call that someone was injured, according to the Atlanta police.

When they arrived they found the man dead inside one of the apartments, police spokesman Sgt. Greg Lyon said. Someone had shot the man in the back of the head.

It was unclear who called police to report that the man was injured. It was also unclear if there was any forced entry to the apartment.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man as Mr. Mario Shaw, of Atlanta.

Investigators are canvassing the area and seeking anyone that has information about the crime.
