Investigators are looking for an Arizona teen tonight whose car was found abandoned in southwest Oregon, according to KPTV.
Dwes Huston, a Douglas County sheriff spokesperson reported that the SUV driven by 18-year-old Jonathan Croom was found Wednesday in Riddle, a small town near I-5.
Monica Croom, Jonathan’s mother, said Friday that Jonathan was alone driving home from Seattle where he was visiting a female friend.
Croom’s mother said he left Arizona on July 30th and was supposed to be in classes at Mesa Community College Monday. She also said her son is super smart and has Boy Scout experience, that his car didn’t break down, wasn’t out of gas, and was unlocked with money inside.
The Douglas County police department said that his SUV wasn’t vandalized, and that they have searched the area.
Anyone who has any information on Jonathan Croom’s disappearance is urged to call the Douglas County police department and to keep their eyes peeled for any sign of the boy.
