New York City police are on the hunt for missing fashion designer Michele Savoia. He was last seen at a swanky nightclub in Chelsea, according to authorities and a Feb. 16 report from the New York Post.

The 55-year-old reportedly lives on a yacht on 12th Avenue. He was last seen at the Marquee nightclub at 3:54 a.m. on Thursday, according to officials. He was also seen at several events at New York Fashion Week leading up to his disappearance.

One of Savoia’s friends told WCBS-TV, “I fear the worst, I fear the worst.”

Savoia reportedly has been through some bad times. Back in 2012, he lost his boutique called House of Savoia “due to another greed-driven landlord” he said on his Facebook page. He also had to pawn a custom designed 1958 motorcycle for $5,000 just to make ends meet at his fashion shows.

The famed fashion designer was also beaten and mugged when he moved to the Lower East Side a few years ago.

Savoia missed Valentine’s Day plans with his girlfriend. This prompted his friend Felix Rodriguez to look for him at his yacht.

Rodriguez said that police searched the Hudson River and found nothing. He speculates that undercurrents could’ve pulled him in.

Friends and fans of the designer have taken to Facebook and Twitter to join the search.

Actor Joseph Catalfumo is a longtime friend of Michele Savoia. He attended a fashion show with him in 2000. Catalfumo said of the designer, “He’s a sweetheart. I can’t figure out where he might be. He helped everybody he was around.”
