A man was found dead Tuesday afternoon inside a Powder Springs home and police believe he was murdered. But investigators are still working to determine the cause of the man’s death.
The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to complete the autopsy this week.
The investigation began around 2:30 p.m. when officers responded to 5135 Glendora Drive after getting a report of a person down, according to Cobb County police.
Police did not say who found the man and made the call to police.
When they arrived, Mr. David Scott of Powder Springs was already dead, police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said.
Investigators said the man’s death is an apparent homicide and are asking anyone who may have information regarding his murder to call (770) 499-3945.
So far, police have not provided a motive or named a suspect in Mr. Scott’s murder. It’s also unclear how long the man had been dead before he was found and whether or not there was any forced entry to the home.
