The investigation began around 6:40 p.m. when someone called 911 to report a death inside the home at 2808 Gracewood Drive in Marietta, according to Cobb County police.

Someone had found the man dead inside his home, police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said.

Police have turned over the man’s body to the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of the man’s death.

So far, his identity has not been released and police have not released any details on the condition of his body or how long he may have been dead. It was also unclear who found him and whether or not there was any forced entrance into the home.

Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call Cobb County police at (770) 499-3945.
