Police say that at least seven employees at the state license bureau in Delray Beach have been taking bribes to issue drivers licenses to illegal aliens. The scam allegedly put drivers licenses in the hands more than 1,500 illegal aliens.
On Thursday, police in Palm Beach arrested Willy Adam, 52, and charged him with five counts of unlawful compensation to reward official behavior, and two counts of conspiracy, both felonies.
At his arraignment, Palm Beach County Assistant State Attorney Alan Johnson, told Judge Ted S. Booras that Adam is not a U.S. citizen and presents a flight risk. He is currently in the West Palm Beach county Jail on $145,000 bail.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for Adam in September, along with six others accused of facilitating the scam by issuing bribes, making phony immigration documents, and escorting the illegal aliens to the DMV employees in question.
So far, police have arrested seven license bureau examiners, who are accused of issuing licenses to the illegal aliens without administering either a driving or written test.
The license examiners allegedly received between $1,200 to $2,500 per license, prosecutors believe that those involved made several millions of dollars in the illegal operation.
Three of the conspirators remain at large.
Last week, in Boynton Beach, a 10-year-old girl was hit and killed by an illegal alien driving on the wrong side of the road.

Adam was the middle-man who lined up and drove the illegals to the DMV office. The worst of the crime scene were the agents, everyone of them Black. I live 12 miles from the Delray DMV office and about 4 miles from where the illegal Mexican ran over the two sisters in a hit and run. Don't believe any of the sob stories about the illegals, they don't care a flip about Americans. Punish and Deport. I support a perminent immigration moratorium.
Criminal employers and all the greedy creeps that aid and abet lawbreaking illegal aliens need maximum fines and jail terms. No one can bring that little girl back to her heartbroken parents, but we can each scream at our elected leaders until they get the message that we want an end to the invasion and occupation of our country by millions of disrespectful lawbreaking illegal aliens.
Mr Adams and all those others that are currently in custody should be forced to hire their own attorney and not be provided one on the tax payers' dollar, the all collectively should be charged with culpable manslaughter, or some form murder for the death of that young girl, and the parents should be able to sue their estates in civil court. My question is why are there so many non-citizens working in such official capacity(ies)?

3/26/10 -- so let me get this straight -- This Willy Adam character was working at the FL DMV, taking bribes to issue driver's licenses to ILLEGALS, yet HE IS NOT A CITIZEN?!? Is he here illegally as well? Who is minding the shop? And why the hell aren't our state legislators doing anything about it. For three years in a row I have asked my state rep (Trudi Williams R-Ft Myers) and state senator (Dave Aronberg, D-Greenacres) to please push legislation that will crackdown on illegals like AZ and OK do, but they both refuse to do so. Williams is running for reelection this Nov. and Aronberg is running for FL Atty General this fall. Nice, huh? We need to vote out the do nothing in office. This is unacceptable. Also note: former FL Speaker of the House, Marco Rubio (RINO - MIami) is the new GOP darling, but apparently, those on the "right" are not doing their homework or are just ignoring his record on illegals as well. Rubio is pro illegal/pro amnesty!!!!! Spead the word.

omalley our dear governor of md gave out thousands to illegal aliens using fake id's. They were going to our mva by busloads from all over the country for drivers licenses. Omalley not only supports them, he caters to them by allowing them to get welfare and its freebies, a voters card and jobs with our state highways using little id or fake ones. O'malley will get his pink slip soon.
Charity organizations give food, money, housing, shelter and medical services to illegal aliens and undocumented workers. Stop giving to charities that don’t require U.S. identification papers and proof of legal residency. American citizens are denied food and services from charities because there is not enough to go around after giving most of your donations to illegal aliens and workers with “temporary” visas. Churches and non-profit agencies are the worst offenders against the unemployed Americans because they support illegal aliens who take jobs from Americans. This is not charity for Americans, but actually hurts American citizens. Does your favorite charity require U.S. identification and legal residency as a requirement for receiving aid? Didn’t think so. Who are you hurting by giving? Unemployed American need jobs, food, rent, shelter and medical help, but illegal aliens come first for some charities. Don't give to a charity unless real proof of U.S. citizenship is required.
and we hear all the time that illegal aliens don't get any government benefits. The driver's license is the proverbial keys to the kingdom in the US. Corruption should be rooted out and all 1500 recipients need to be tracked down, prosecuted and deported with a permanent ban on entry.
