Raymond Young, 70, of Memphis, Tenn., was arraigned Oct. 7 at First District Court in Hempstead on charges of first-degree robbery and first-degree criminal use of a firearm.
According to police, Young entered the Chase Bank branch at 625 Middle Neck Road in Great Neck at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 27. Inside the bank, he allegedly displayed a gun and demanded cash from a teller.

Six employees and one customer were inside the branch at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.
Judge Eric Bjorneby ordered Young held without bail. He is due back in court on Oct. 9.
