Police looking for woman suspected of stealing cell phone (Photos)

The Jackson Police Department is seeking information about the identity of the person who stole the cell phone of a Wal-Mart customer Tuesday afternoon.

According to a news release from the department, on Tuesday, around 1:18 p.m., a female customer left her cell phone at the check-out line at Wal-Mart. The next customer, a woman, in line took the last customer's cell phone after making a purchase.

In the surveillance photos, the suspect is a white woman, with dark-colored hair pulled into a ponytail. She was wearing a black shirt with large, multi-colored butterflies on it and blue pants.

The Jackson Police Department is asking that anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Jackson Police Dept. at 731-425-8400 or Crimestoppers at 424-8477.
