Nassau County police are turning to the public for help in locating a man accused of sexually abusing a masseuse at a Hicksville day spa, detectives said in a Jan. 15 news release.

Investigators said the suspect walked into the Red Bell Spa at 107 Newbridge Road in Hicksville around 7 p.m. on Monday and asked for a massage. An employee reportedly sent into one of the massage rooms in the day spa to wait for the masseuse.

Detectives said the man was completely nude when a female employee walked into the room, but did eventually lie down and cover up. During the massage, the man reportedly grabbed the employee’s arm “in an attempt to have her touch him in a sexual manner,” police said Wednesday.

The man allegedly became agitated when the employee backed away from the table and “backed the victim into a corner,” where the two began to struggle, according to the news release.

Police said he then “touched her in an inappropriate sexual manner,” before she broke free and ran for help. By the time officers arrived, the man had fled the scene “by unknown means.”

A woman answering the phone at the spa Wednesday evening said she couldn’t immediately comment on the incident.

The suspect is described as being between 40 and 50 years old, approximately 5-foot-9 and weighing between 200 and 215 pounds. The man, with a shaved head and beard, was wearing a long sleeve tan colored t-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
