Police identify man killed in Riverdale Heights

Riverdale Heights, Md. --- Police have identified the man murdered Wednesday night as 19-year-old Devon Mansa Gilkes.

Cpl. Mike Rodriguez, Prince George's County police spokesman, says the teen was sitting out front of his residence in the 6400 block of 61st Place around 10:15 p.m. when two men approached and shot him in the leg.  He suffered extensive blood loss.

Gilkes was taken to a trauma center where he was pronounced dead.

Cpl. Rodriguez says detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and establish a motive in this case.  The investigation is ongoing.
