The police have a Yale University employee, a lab technician in custody in connection with Annie Le’s murder. A search and body warrant was issued for Raymond Clark (right), 24 tonight. A body warrant will allow the police to collect physical DNA from Clark, and if he does not comply he will be arrested, according to Police Chief James Lewis tonight in a press conference.
Investigators have collected about 150 pieces of evidence, reviewed about 700 hours of video and interviewed more than 150 people, and some twice, Lewis said. The police stated that they have a large amount of evidence. The police stated that there are a limited number of people who were in the basement the day Annie Le disappeared, CNN reported. "We know everyone that was in the basement ... and we passed that on to police," Yale University President Richard Levin told CNN. "There is an abundance of evidence."
The police stated that the investigators would not make an arrest until the DNA evidence has been evaluated and that could take days.
Annie Le went missing last Tuesday, just five days before her wedding, and her body was discovered on Sunday hidden in a wall in the basement of the building where she worked.
UPDATE: 9:10 AM EST Wednesday, the police have released Raymond Clark, stating that they received everything they need from him. They have been careful to call him a person of interest and not a suspect, but they did say that he has been under surveillance for the last few days, CNN reported.
