Jason Good, 35, of Vero Beach, Fla., will be arraigned Sept. 13 at First District Court in Hempstead on charges of public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said Good approached the 13-year-old girl as she was riding her bicycle on Hicksville Road near Thorne Avenue in the early evening of Sept. 3. While inside his black 2006 Jeep, Good allegedly exposed himself to the teen.
Investigators said the quick-thinking victim whipped out her cell phone and snapped a photo of Good’s car and his Florida license plates during the encounter, which reportedly caused him to flee from the scene.
Detectives caught up with him Thursday afternoon and arrested him inside the Second Precinct in Westbury. It was not immediately clear why Good was at the police station or if he surrendered himself voluntarily.
