Tuesday, police involved in the Kyron Horman disappearance case in Oregon said that they are nearing a decision in the case and hope to make several moves this week. The police have tracked over 3,000 leads in the last month, and several hundred interviews.

Kyron Horman is the 7-year-old boy from Portland, Oregon who has been missing for over a month, and his stepmother appears to be the main person of interest in the case.

"I've got to make a lot of decisions this week," says Multnomah County Sheriff Dan Staton told CBS News. "It's gonna be based on ... what comes out of the investigation between now and the end of this week."

Monday, it was reported that Terri Horman hired a hit man to kill her husband, after a man, her landscaper came forward and told the police that she offered him “a large sum of money” in exchange for killing her husband, Kaine Horman.

Investigators told Kaine Horman of the murder plot and they told him that they believed Terri may have also attempted to hire other people to kill him, reported KGW in Portland, Oregon.

Terri Horman told several people that her marriage was bad, and that her husband had "hurt" her. When Terri was confronted by police about the murder plot allegations, she denied everything.

Kyron Horman disappeared on June 4, and Terri was the last person to see him. Kaine Horman moved out of their house in late June, and took their young daughter. He filed for divorce, and a judge granted him a restraining order against Terri. Terri then hired Stephen Houze, a high-profile defense attorney.

This case appears to be somewhat similar to the Ethan Stacy murder. The stepfather and mother allegedly beat and killed 4-year-old Ethan just a few days after he arrived in Utah to spend the summer with his mother. Ethan Stacy’s case has touched and angered people around the country. For more on that story, click here.
