A Bellerose man was arrested on Long Island early Sunday after he allegedly repeatedly sold heroin to undercover law enforcement agents, Nassau County police said March 9.

Wasif S. Hamid, 23, was charged with seven counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead and ordered held on $100,000 bail.

Hamid was arrested in Levittown at 12:35 a.m. Sunday after he allegedly “sold heroin to undercover agents” on three separate occasions, a news release said.

When detectives apprehended him, police said he was found in possession of 688 wax paper envelopes of heroin, an additional quantity of heroin, more than half an ounce of cocaine, assorted pills and vials of Ketamine.

Records show Hamid did not post bail after his arraignment and was being held Sunday afternoon at the Nassau County Jail in East Meadow.

He is due back in court on Wednesday.
