The Colorado Springs police arrested three individuals on Wednesday night after they reportedly stole marijuana plants from a dispensary on E. Platte Ave.
According to the police department, officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress shortly before 10 PM at The Organic Seed. Upon arrival, the officers were told that a citizen had observed unknown individuals running out of the store carrying the plants and called the police. During the investigation, another citizen noticed three individuals carrying marijuana plants at an apartment complex on Willamette Ave. and reported that activity to the police.
Officers arrived at the apartment complex, where they arrested one suspect. Two more suspects were subsequently arrested at a residence on E. Dale St., where two of the stolen marijuana plants were also recovered. Police have identified the suspects as 37-year-old Farreal Williams, 23-year-old Joseph Kennedy and 31-year-old Larry Gardner. The men have been charged with second degree burglary, criminal mischief, theft and conspiracy.
