Pole Dancing - Have Fun and Get Fit

For those of you who think pole dancing is only for exotic dancers or private dancing opportunities, think again. Pole dancing is gaining such popularity, it is being considered as an Olympic sport in as early as 2016. Over the past five years pole dancing class enrollment has increased so much, studios are forced to add classes of multiple levels and variations of the discipline.

Pole dancing is a form of performing art and is now regarded as exercise which provides both aerobic and anaerobic benefits. It involves dancing with a vertical pole and improves core and overall strength, balance, and coordination. Pole dancing is thought to be a seductive form of dance but many studios are toning the sensuality down a little to accommodate more clients. Perhaps the greatest benefit to pole dancing is its fun factor. Participants say the class time goes by quickly and they hardly feel like they are exercising at all, simply because it so fun! Pole dancing students also enjoy the sense of community with other women in the class, and have an increased confidence in themselves and their sex appeal. But don’t let all that fool you, pole dancing is a challenging work out which will help keep you fit and prevent you for exercise boredom or fitness plateaus.
