Pokey LaFarge had already announced that he would be hitting the road this year for a tour. Now, LaFarge has an actual tour schedule that fans can follow with the announcement of the Central Time Tour.
The Central Time Tour will feature Pokey LaFarge and his band, and they will be accompanied by special guest and "master of ceremonies" Don Flemons. Flemons is the founding member of the string band Carolina Chocolate Drops.
The tour also includes a lineup of Joel Savoy, Jesse Lége and the Cajun Country Revival, The Tillers and The Loot Rock Gang. It is a very diverse group of musicians, from Cajun folk to blues/roots music, and they reflect the various influences of Pokey LaFarge's own style.
Between September 10 and September 24, LaFarge and his traveling show will be bouncing around various venues in the Midwestern United States. Missouri will see Pokey LaFarge three times in three different towns: Saint Louis, Kansas City and Columbia are the local spots which will receive the Central Time Tour.
The first show for the Central Time Tour will take place at the Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tickets run between $15 and $30 per person and will go on sale this Friday.
