If you love to play online poker, but are confused by all the sites that offer online poker, then I am about to do you a favor by introducing you to pokersites.com. This website is very similar to the first gambling network I ever reported on, because it concentrates solely on online poker—something which its name communicates better than the first. But, the site does have a few shortcomings. I will explain a couple of these shortcomings upfront, so as not to mislead you. However, this site also has some further benefits that make it better than the first. Even though this first site has more basic information than pokersites, like how to play certain versions of poker, pokersites.com is a treasure chest of information regarding playing online poker.
One shortcoming of pokersites.com is that some of its wording and links are very misleading. Should you click on the “Top 10 [poker] Sites” link, for example, your click leads you to a page that lists only nine “Top Rated Poker Sites [of] February 2013…[all of which are] Reviewed by Experts [to make sure they are] 100% Safe and Secure “. All of them offer “Trustworthy, safe, secure and reliable online poker games[, ] Constant online poker cash games and tournaments, 24/7/365[, ] Fast, safe and simple cashouts and deposits[, and] Quality software that makes for a great poker experience”.
Like the first network I reported on pokersites.com is geared towards US players. So much so that while it does feature some sites for international players (for instance, it features some sites only open to Canadian players and others open only to Australian players) and gamblers, all of the top nine sites are open to US players. Another shortcoming of pokersites.com is that the links do not always take you where they are supposed to. For instance, if you click on a ”Review” link for any of the lower four of the top nine best poker sites, you might be taken to a review of the poker site, directly to the site, or to a page listing the “Poker Site Top Categories”. The inclusion of one of these categories—“Worst Poker Rooms—makes the site very unlike the first one I covered. Listing both good and bad sites is a further benefit that makes the site better than the first.
One of the best features of pokersites.com is the availability of free games. Even though pokersites is like the first network I reviewed in that the site itself does not offer gaming (neither paid nor free) directly, most of the sites you are connected with offer “'play money' option[s] where you can play against other players without depositing any real money.” This allows you to hone your skills before competing for real cash and/or just play for fun
Another nice feature is the inclusion of no download sites amongst the sites/games it recommends. At pokersites.com you can find “Instant play poker in your browser [which] is available at certain sites.” These no-download sites are perfect for Macintosh and Linux users. If you want to use a no-download site—the fact that pokersites.com connects you with no-download sites is an added benefit that the first site I reviewed does not offer. One quick note: with a Windows operating system, you will need flash player software.
Although pokersites.com has some shortcomings, it has further benefits than the first site I reviewed —a similar all poker connection. However, pokersites.com is unlike any other site and offers its own treasure chest of information regarding online poker.
