Activities planned for the event include a costume showcase, where fans can come dressed up as their favorite Pokemon. There will also be several kiosks available for gamers to try the game. The event is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
"Pokemon X & Y" will be available for purchase at the store at midnight and Nintendo World will stay open to accommodate patrons, according to the release.
This version of Nintendo's revered RPG will feature an entire new generation of Pokemon, as well as mega evolutions of all time favorites. "Pokemon X & Y" will also be the first RPG in the series that will be in the full 3D.
Those who purchase the game at launch will also get the first opportunity to download a rare level 10 Torchic on the Nintendo Network that has a hidden ability speed boost that causes its speed to increase every turn. The Pokemon will also be holding the Blazikenite, the Mega Stone needed for Blaziken's Mega Evolution.
The new Nintendo 2DS system will also be available for purchase at midnight.
"Pokemon X & Y" is set for an October 12 release on the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS
