‘Pokemon X,’ ‘Pokemon Y’ and more Nintendo games featured in Best Buy deal

Best Buy is holding a new sale for select video games for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U. According to a report by Player Essence on Dec. 8, the retailer is currently offering a “buy one, get one 50 percent off” deal on recently-released titles that were published by Nintendo.

The two most popular video games on the list are “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” Both Nintendo 3DS titles came out on Oct. 12 in North America, which makes it hard to find a good price for the products during the holiday season. The other notable handheld title eligible for the promotion in “The Legend of Zelda: A Link between Worlds,” which was released several weeks ago on Nov. 22.   • “Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon”

On the Nintendo Wii U front, customers can pick between a set of highly-rated titles such as “Pikmin 3” and “Super Mario 3D World.” You can find the eligible console games for the “buy one, get one 50 percent off” deal below:

  • “New Super Luigi U”
  • “New Super Mario Bros. U”
  • “Pikmin 3”
  • “Super Mario 3D World”
  • “The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker”
  • “Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games”

Best Buy is also discounting the Nintendo 3DS XL Luigi Limited Edition (Silver) with Mario & Luigi: Dream Team by $20. Moreover, the retailer is adding a $25 gift card towards the purchase of the Nintendo Wii U Console Deluxe Set with “New Super Mario Bros. U” and “New Super Luigi U.” Finally, select eShop prepaid cards were discounted by 20 percent.
