Nintendo announced two new bundles for the holidays on Wednesday featuring the Nintendo 2DS along with copies of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. There's a catch those as each of these bundles are exclusive to select retailers.
Starting Friday, Dec. 6, the red Nintendo 2DS will be bundled with a pre-installed copy of Pokemon X at Target for $149.99 while the blue Nintendo 2DS will come with Pokemon Y at Toys R Us for the same price. In fact, the bundle is already available to pre-order from Toys R Us. Both will be available from the retailers while supplies last.
The Nintendo 2DS is the cheaper younger brother to the Nintendo 3DS that plays all the same games except not in 3D. It also has the same features but comes in a different form factor at a regular retail price of $129.99. This means that the normally $39.99 priced Pokemon X and Y receive a $20 discount when rolled in with the two exclusive bundles.
