Announced in the wee hours of January 8th, Nintendo/Pokemon Company announced the welcoming of two-new Pokemon, X and Y. Scheduled to make their appearance this coming October 2013 worldwide [a series first], X and Y will be the first in the main series for the 3DS [as well as getting off the whole color and jewel title thing].
Some re-rendered monsters, new environments and music, as well as some old and familiar faces will make it to the 3DS' Pokemon. "The worldwide launch of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y this October allows players to begin their adventures at the same time.' stated Pokemon Company CEO, Tsunekazu Ishihara, 'Now, Pokémon fans across the globe can discover the secrets of Pokémon games and can collect, battle, and trade with each other immediately."
Suiting up in your most comfortable training cap may not entirely mean you should expect the same old Pokemon. As the trailer shows off the beautifully rendered environments, we can't help but notice that the gameplay has changed up a bit as well with a more similar battle style to the likes of Pokemon Colosseum. "We brought Pokémon into an entirely new dimension and we’re incredibly excited to bring Pokémon X and Pokémon Y to fans.' states Pokemon Director, Junichi Masuda, 'The stunning visuals, a completely redesigned environment, game scenario, music, and communication features will bring smiles to the faces of video game players around the world."
No matter how anyone feels about the not-entirely-traditional-format, X and Y do surely look like another fun Pokemon title.
