Seven new pocket monsters have been revealed for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS exclusive titles, “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” According to a report by Serebii on Sept. 13, Nintendo revealed the three evolution forms from the starters in addition to four individual creatures.
Quilladin is the evolved form of Chespin, the grass-type starter. Braixen evolved from the fire-type Fennekin while Braixen came from the evolution of Frogadier, a frog-like creature from the water category.
The four new individual creatures resemble a dog, cat and two different dinosaurs. Furfrou, which was previously leaked, is a creature that resemble a poodle. Meowstic adds another feline to the growing roster. Nintendo also introduced the Tyrunt, a fossil pocket monster that resembles the Tyrannosaurus Rex. The other dinosaur is Amaura, which has similar features to an Apatosaurus. “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” features a big cast of new pocket monsters and old returning favorites from the past installments. All of the creatures are rendered is full 3D polygons by the Game Freak development studio using the graphical prowess of the Nintendo 3DS system.
