Nintendo of America has revealed some details in regards to a special event for the launch of the upcoming Nintendo 3DS video games, “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” According to a report by Nintendo Life on Sept. 30, the celebration will take place at the Nintendo World store in New York City.
Fans in the area can attended the event starting at 9.00 p.m. EST on Oct. 11. The festivities will be concluded at approximately 1:00 a.m. EST on Oct. 12. The celebration includes a disc jockey, Pikachu mascot, trivia contest, multiple giveaways in addition to gameplay demo stations. Furthermore, fans can purchase “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” straight from the store starting at midnight.
The Nintendo World store, which is located in the Rockefeller Center of New York City, was first opened in 2005. The location hosted many big events from the company in the past, including the launch of the Nintendo Wii U system in late 2012.
Nintendo is expecting “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” to be big sellers. The publisher is also planning to release the recently-announced Nintendo 2DS system on the same day as the two games. All of the aforesaid products are set to launch on Oct. 12.
The Nintendo 2DS system has a price tag of $129.99 while “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” are priced at $39.99 each.
