New data have been revealed in regards to the pre-order sales of the upcoming video games, “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” According to a report by Dual Shockers on Aug. 16, both titles have already achieved impressive reservation numbers in just a few days.
The Media Create organization recently posted a report on the top 50 best-selling video games in Japan for the week that ended on Aug. 11, revealing the preliminary pre-order sales data for “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” at the same time. The latest installments from the “Pokemon” series have received 260,000 reservations from customers so far. That number only accounts for the first two day of the pre-order period. Furthermore, it does not include hardware bundles, which were sold out at Amazon in just hours despite 100,000 being allocated to the online retailer.
“Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” will also be sold through the eShop digital download store on the Nintendo 3DS. Each of the two video games requires around 1.7 GB of free space. The Media Create does not keep track of digital sales.
Game Freak has ramped up the production values of “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” when compared to the previous installments. The improved audio and visual may be the leading components driving the pre-order sales of the two games in Japan.
“Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” are due to come out multiple regions, including Japan and North America, on Oct. 12. You can check out some screens in the slideshow at the top of this article. You can pre-order the products from Amazon in the following links: “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y”
