Early copies of the upcoming Nintendo 3DS exclusive video games, “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y,” are being sold more than a week in advance of the official launch date of both products. According to a report by Go Nintendo on Oct. 1, several individuals from Canada and Italy have revealed that they have managed to get early copies of the two titles.
Publishers occasionally ship games to retailers several days in advance. Some stores usually sell the software products early, breaking the street date. The recently-released “GTA 5” also suffered from the same issue, leading to Rockstar Games warning fans to look out for spoilers.
One of the players that purchased “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” posted an image showing off the pack shot. The photo features the inside of the case, which include the manual and game cart. You can check out the photo, as well as some screenshots from the two handheld games, in the slideshow located near the top of this article.
“Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” are expected to be the biggest releases for the Nintendo 3DS handheld system in 2013. The two titles are the first installments in the series to be developed using 3D polygon graphics. Nintendo is planning to officially launch the software products on Oct. 12 in North America and a few other regions from around the world.
