The unlock method may have been revealed for Diancie in the upcoming Nintendo 3DS exclusive video games, “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” According to a report from My Nintendo News on March 1, several hackers were able to find that the recently-announced pocket monster can be obtained through the Mystery Gift option.

As a result, it appears that Nintendo is planning to release Diancie through some kind of special distribution event. One possible scenario is that the company could be waiting for the release of an upcoming “Pokemon” movie in Japan, which stars the aforesaid character. You can find some screens of Diancie, as well as other shots from the handheld titles, in the slideshow to the left of this article.

Nintendo has been offering pocket monsters as free gifts to players who used the online services in “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” Select distribution events can also be found in download hotspots at specific retailers.

Diancie is a combination of the rock and fairy types. The creature has the unique ability to create gems from thin air to use for attack and defense purposes. Aside from hacking, the character can’t be obtained normally by playing through the two versions of the sixth-generation of “Pokemon” games.

Nintendo is the publisher of “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y,” both of which were launched in the North American region on Oct. 12th of last year. Game Freak, the creator of the “Pokemon” series, is the developer behind the latest installments.
