‘Pokemon X’ and ‘Pokemon Y’ complemented with Pikachu Nintendo 3DS XL (Photos)

Nintendo will be releasing a new special edition Nintendo 3DS XL ahead of the launches for “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” According to a report by Joystiq on March 14, the new yellow handheld is based on Pikachu, one of the main mascots in the “Pokemon” series. The Pikachu Nintendo 3DS XL, which will come with a 4GB SD memory card, has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price tag of $199.99. The special edition system will be released in the North American region on March 24.

Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” are currently in production at Game Freak, the same studio responsible for the previous five generation of games from the “Pokemon” series.
