More details have been revealed for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS role-playing video games, “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” According to a preview article from Game Informer on Aug. 31, the two titles feature various changes as to how players will be able to traverse through the areas.
“Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” includes the ability to dash while using your legs to travel. In the previous games in the series, players could only walk through the environments. A bicycle needed to be used before in order to speed up the movement. In the sixth-generation of “Pokemon” video games, however, it looks like players can now traverse at a faster pace without the need of a bicycle.
Game Informer also provided another example of the new mount feature in “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” Players will be able to ride a “dog-like” pocket monster that is found in a courtyard. Nintendo previous disclosed that Gogoat, a grass-type creature that resembles a goat, could be ridden within the limits of the Lumiose City.
“Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y,” which are slated to launch on Oct. 12, takes place in the Kalos Region, which is based on several landmarks from the real-life country of France.
