An additional pocket monster evolution has been revealed for the forthcoming Nintendo 3DS exclusive titles, “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” According to a report by Nintendojo on Sept. 26, the latest pocket monster is an evolved form of Honedge, which is also a new creature being introduced to the “Pokemon” series with the release of the two handheld role-playing games.
The new Doublade pocket monster resembles two Honedge creatures lying on top of each other like a cross. The cloth at the end of the handle also turned from blue to purple during the evolution process. You can check out Doublade, along with other screenshots from “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y,” in the slideshow located on the top left-hand corner of this article.
Doublade is described as a ghost and steel type. The pocket monster has the ability to “telepathically coordinating its two blades to deliver twice the slice in battle.” It also features the “no guard” ability, which guarantees that its attacks will connect no matter the circumstance.
In addition to the aforesaid Doublade and Honedge, the two upcoming video games feature a robust roster of over 600 pocket monsters. A portion of which will be new to the “Pokemon” franchise.
