More potential details have been leaked regarding Nintendo’s upcoming plans for the recently-released “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” According to a report by Nintendo 3DS Daily on Nov. 1, the same person that allegedly revealed the existence of three new event pocket monsters also discovered additional mega evolution transformations for the two handheld role-playing games.
Both Latias and Latios will be able to evolve into a higher form during combat. The screens showcasing the mega evolution transformations revealed that both creatures will look the same when compared to each other with the exception of the eye color and shapes. You can check out the leaked screens, along with official shots from “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y,” in the slideshow near the top of this article.
Mega evolution is a new feature in the latest installments from the “Pokemon” franchise. Players will be able to temporary evolve select creatures during combat provided they use the right stone. The powered-up pocket monsters revert back to their original form after the battle.
The special stones needed for Latias and Latios to undergo the mega evolution process have not yet been discovered. Nintendo may be giving the item away at some point during a future promotional event.
The Latias and Latios mega evolutions, as well as the three event pocket monsters, were found in the data files for “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” You can order the products from Amazon in the following links: “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” Some Black Friday Countdown deals can also be found in the following link: Countdown to Black Friday Deals Week
