Nintendo has revealed the change log for the 1.2 patch of the recently-released exclusive video games for the Nintendo 3DS handheld system, “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” According to a report from Gamepur on Dec. 13, the title update fixes several glitches in the handheld role-playing titles.

A bug that prevents pocket monsters from learning new moves after evolving through the Wonder Trade method has been addressed. Moreover, a glitch involving select captions from the Trainer PR Videos was fixed. The 1.02 patch also updated an online connection issue for “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” You can check out some screens from the two video games in the slideshow to the left of this article and the full change log below (courtesy of Gamepur):

  • Fixes an occasional bug causing Pokémon not to learn new moves after evolving through Wonder Trade.
  • Fixes an occasional bug where certain captions for Trainer PR Videos were not unlocked in Lumiose City.
  • Updates an Internet communication issue.
  • Includes previous update (Ver. 1.1)

The 1.02 patch is the second time Nintendo had to release a post-launch title update for “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y.” The 1.1 version of both titles was quickly implemented in order to prevent a corrupted save glitch that plagued some players while exploring Lumiose City.

The latest installments of the “Pokemon” franchise managed to sell four million units within the first two days of launch, which occurred on Oct. 12 in North America and other regions. The Game Freak studio developed “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y,” both of which were published and distributed by Nintendo.
