'Pokemon Bank' finally available in North America

After yesterdays release of Pokemon Bank for Europe and Australia, Nintendo announced that fans in North America could expect the application to be available for them shortly.

That came much quicker than anticipated, and the application has finally gone live for North American Pokemon fans.

As previously stated yesterday, those that download the app can receive a free Celebi after depositing their first Pokemon. The application can be used free for 30 days, if downloaded before March 14.

The application was originally scheduled to be released on December 27. Nintendo was not prepared for the amount of stress being put upon their servers and as a result Pokemon Bank was pulled from the eShop.

Information remained scarce over the past couple of months, with fans never knowing when to expect the application. The release of Pokemon Bank today came as a surprise to many, especially considering how soon it is after being released in other regions.

What Pokemon from the older generations are you most excited about bringing over to Pokemon X and Pokemon Y?
