“Pokémon Art Academy” is set for a fall release on the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS handheld consoles, Nintendo announced in a press release today by Examiner.
While no firm release date was announced, Nintendo did say that the game, a spiritual successor to the company’s “Art Academy” series, will contain over 40 drawing lessons- all taught in the game’s signature easy-to-follow, step-by-step manner.
Among the Pokémon gamers can expect to draw are fan favorites Pikachu, Oshawott, Charizard, Torchic, Fletchling and Fennekin. Along the way, gamers will learn new drawing techniques as well, using paint, pencils and pastels.
“The Pokémon characters themselves are among the most endearing and enduring aspects of the Pokémon video games, with everyone having their own favorite,” Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing said in today’s press release. “Pokémon Art Academy lets fans deepen their connection with these iconic characters by providing detailed lessons teaching how to draw them on their Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 2DS in a straightforward and enjoyable way.”
