According to the official Pokemon website, the "Pokedex for iOS" app will be available at a discounted price for a limited time. The price is reduced from $1.99 to $0.99 for the initial download, and the in app content is reduced from $5.99 to $3.99. The sale began on this day, Feb. 27, 2013, and will last until Mar. 12, 2013.
The "Pokedex for iOS" app is essentially a fully detailed Pokedex that trainers can access from their iPhones, iPods, or iPads. The Pokedex goes into great detail for each Pokemon. Trainers can find details about any Pokemon's type, weaknesses, resistances, learned moves, egg moves, and abilities. The app also shows the 3D model for every Pokemon (which are the models used in the upcoming "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity"). When initially downloaded, the app contains details about generation 5 Pokemon. The aforementioned in app content contains data for Pokemon in the other generations. Unfortunately, each generation is separate, and thus each generation will cost an additional $3.99 at the discounted price.
