‘Pokémon’ themed Nintendo 3DS announced for North America

Nintendo of America announced on Thursday, March 14, that a “Pokémon” themed Nintendo 3DS will be released on March 24.

This newly announced Pikachu themed Nintendo 3DS comes packaged with a 4GB SD card and will be available for the price of $199.99 – though Target will have it on-sale on March 24 for $159.99.

This new “Pokémon” themed Nintendo 3DS will launch along with “Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity”, the first Nintendo 3DS entry of the popular “Mystery Dungeon” series.

Players can play as one of five popular Pokémon characters as you explore a near-infinite amount of dungeons, battle and recruit Pokémon and collect hidden treasure.

“Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity” is a Nintendo 3DS exclusive and includes a special features known as Magnagates – entrances to new dungeons – by scanning everyday circular objects with the Nintendo 3DS camera.

“Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity” will be available for purchase on March 24 at the retail price of $34.99. There is currently a demo available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
