With the release of Pokémon X and Y on a fast approach, I thought it might be a good idea if I start covering Pokémon in depth. There are at current over 640 of them, so I feel that getting started right away might be a good idea.
013 – Weedle, 014 – Kakuna, 015 - Beedrill
So here we go, the next 3 bug Pokémon, and wouldn’t ya know, I have another favorite when it comes to these. Not just any favorite either, but the mid evolution! Why? Because Kakuna could learn a skill called poison sting at lv 7 in yellow. Why is this significant? Because Kakuna only knows harden normally.
Weedle is the one who usually has the poison sting attack, and has it at no matter what level it’s caught. It’s a basic bug Pokémon with Poison Sting and String shot as its moves.
Beedrill is exactly what you’d expect from a bug type that looks like a Bee. He’s aggressive, and has stinger based moves like Twineedle. Twineedle is exclusive to Beedrill in the earlier games, and this only changes when you get into Pokémon Black and White. But I’m getting a bit ahead of myself here. I’ll talk more about this when I get to Escalaver.
Well that’s it for the next 3…. Another 634 to cover yet, then I can get into the x and y Pokémon. I’ll be covering the complete evolution chain with each one. But for now, good luck and god speed gamers.
