Pokémon: A look into the 649 different species! Part 3

With the release of Pokémon X and Y on a fast approach, I thought it might be a good idea if I start covering Pokémon in depth. There are at current over 640 of them, so I feel that getting started right away might be a good idea.

007 – Squirtle, 008 – Wartortle, 009 - Blastoise

The last set of the initial starters, Squirtle was one of the favorites of the original game. He evolves into Wartortle, and then Blastoise, losing his cute demeanor as he grows. He also gains two cannons as he grows into his final stage. His tail also changes from a curly tail, to a fluffy tail, to more of a turtle tail.
When facing off with Blastoise, don’t doubt him, he can wield not only ground moves but he can also learn ice moves, making him one of the best choices to use in an Generation one game.
My initial thoughts, well… I didn’t like this Pokémon, but then again, it looked like the crappiest Pokémon in Red and Blue. And for those of you wondering about Squirtle’s green game counterpart, it looked like an R/B version of the yellow sprite. So not very detailed at all.

Well that’s it for the next 3…. Another 640 to cover yet, then I can get into the x and y Pokémon. I’ll be covering the complete evolution chain with each one. But for now, good luck and god speed gamers.
