According to the Canadian Hockey League on Sunday, Calgary native Brayden Point of the Moose Jaw Warriors will play in the 2014 Canadian Hockey League Top Prospects Game at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Wednesday, January 15.

Point is an injury replacement for Sam Bennett of the Kingston Frontenacs, who is out with a groin ailment. He will be playing on Team Orr, who will be coached by former Calgary Flames enforcer Tim Hunter.

Point currently has 19 goals and 23 assists for 42 points in 44 games. His 19 goals and 42 points leads the Moose Jaw Warriors. However one reason why Point might not have been chosen to play originally in the game is because of his -22 plus/minus ranking.

Wednesday's game will be 23rd Canadian Hockey League Top Prospects Game and third in Calgary, Alberta. The game was also played at the Pengrowth Saddledome in 1999 and 2001.
