Poetry contest at Nacogdoches Library 2013

Are you a poet . . . . and you know it? Everyone is invited to participate in the Poetry Writing Contest being sponsored by the Nacogdoches Public Library in April to celebrate National Poetry Month. The contest is open to anyone who lives in Nacogdoches County, with a limit of one poem per person.

The deadline for submissions is April 12, and poems may be on any subject matter as long as they are suitable for a general, family-friendly audience, are original, and have not been previously published.

Copies of a poetry booklet made from entries will be presented to each entrant and the Library reserves the right to print, in whole or in part, any entry in the contest.

All poets are welcome to read their work at the National Poetry Month Recital which will be held on Monday, April 29, at 6:00 p.m. at the Nacogdoches Public Library.
