Poems About New Year's: Gone to Past Years

A year passes
Quietly beneath us
Gone to past years,
It meets with friends and family
Relishing in obscurity
Welcomed with cheers.

Lost is time
Never relived
Never to be felt,
We must press forward
Accept the reality of age
As our lives tighten in its belt.

Congratulate yourself
For breath fills
Your precious soul,
You have another second
Another day
To do what fills your soul.

Find the shining star
In the sky
You look to above,
Make a wish
This coming year
For continued health and love.
