Plymouth's Spire Center holds 'Plymouth Rock Assurance Jazz Festival' May 24-26

Exciting concerts and performances continue to thrill audiences at Spire Center for Performing Arts, 25 ½ Court Street in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and during Memorial Day weekend, Spire will host a premiere event as the grand finale!

From Saturday, May 24 through Monday, May 26, Plymouth’s first annual ‘Plymouth Rock Assurance Jazz Festival’ is packed with a variety of astounding musical talent! See the slideshow for more on the guest jazz musicians taking the stage!

Renowned trumpet player Johnny Souza will not only host the event, but perform with the ‘Johnny Sousa Quartet' on the first night of the festival, Saturday, May 24 at 7:30 p.m. Also taking the stage is the Berklee-based group, ‘The Beebop Guitars’ and ‘The Rebecca Parris Trio.’

On Sunday, May 25, catchy, upbeat performances will light up the stage from the Greg Abate Quartet, The Yasko Kubuto Power Jazz Unit, and the Amanda Carr Quintet at 2:30 p.m. Live interviews accompany these each live performances for an inside look into these stellar musicians. Then, stay for a reception featuring local restaurants.

Return to the Spire Center for the Performing Arts for their musically interactive grand finale, ‘Jazz Jam Session’ on Monday, May 26 at 2 p.m. Hosted by Johnny Souza, take in a spontaneous jazz jam session from the house band. Better yet, participate! Digital piano, drum set, bass amp, vocal mics, drum set, and a house sound system will be accessible to join in on the performance! Tickets for this musical spectacle are only 10 dollars!
