Plunging cold for cause

The 14th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge takes place Sunday, March 2nd, 2014, located at North Ave Beach 1603 N. Lakeshore drive, Chicago, IL (near Castaways) 9am - 2pm. All are welcome to attend, and catch a glimpse of people braving the ice cold waters of Lake Michigan, for a special cause.

They will be raising funds for SCC (Special Childrens Charities) /Special Olympics in Chicago. To register, donate, or get more information please visit .

Top 3 individual and best team costumes will receive an award. Free round trip bus rides for groups of 20 or more participants.

Each plunger will raise a minimum of $150 to support the Special Olympics, and will receive a t-shirt & towel when exiting the water. Groups of 30 will plunge at a time. There were over 2,300 cold dippers last year, for this wonderful fundraiser.
