Animal lovers who've been missing their trips to Plumpton Park Zoo to visit all the rescued critters will be thrilled to know that the zoo is re-opening on Saturday October 23rd. According to an article in the Cecil Whig, the zoo is charging reduced admission because there are fewer animals. However, a few new friends, including a zebra, will be on hand to greet visitors. Many of the old favorites, like Sis the tiger, are still in residence, too.
If you held onto your yearly pass, you'll be able to still use it, which is great news for parents on a budget. If not, admission is $10 for adults and $6 for children 4 to 12. If you do have a pass and want to help the zoo continue to raise funds, you can buy a t-shirt or make a cash donation. For more information, call 410-658-6850 or email the zoo through its website contact form.
